Enlargements

Sophie came up with a very clever solution to TOO MUCH INFORMATION
To finish off this term we decided to do some hands-on maths. Enlargements are very much Geometry and Measurement rather than art. Many things need to happen to be able to create a successful enlargement; Measuring the image, estimating the new grid size, using division to confirm, measuring and ruling accurately & finally spatial awareness-to be able to transfer points on an image to a new (and larger image). I was very impressed  by Room 14s efforts.

  1. Hi T3. These enlargements look great! I really like the time and care you have put into measuring your grid and making your enlargements look just like the picture. (Auryn it's really scary how alike you and your enlargement is!) You have inspired T1 to have a go at these so if you have any tips, we would love to hear them!

  4. Kia Ora. Your class is amazing at drawing it seems like they can draw a lot of interesting cartoon characters. The one I like the most is homer because he is my favorite character. They looked like drawings at the start then when you color them in they look exactly like the character in the program. How long did it take? was it fun? From Alex Cl
